WITH THE SUPPORT of the Alicia Patterson Foundation, he’s been working on The Places We Live for the last three years. Sixteen resulting photographs depict living conditions in slum areas of four cities – Caracas in Venezuela, Mumbai in India, Nairobi in Kenya and Jakarta in Indonesia.

Bendiksen started his career by an internship in Magnum offices, later becoming the first Norwegian photographer to be taken on board by Magnum.

The exhibition coincides with the book published by Aperture.
